REPUBLIC ACT NO. 640 - AN
ACT CONSTITUTING CERTAIN CITIES INTO SEPARATE SCHOOL DIVISIONS |
Section 1. Any
provision of existing laws to the contrary notwithstanding, every
chartered city which has at least one hundred and fifty public school
teachers is hereby authorized with the approval of its city council to
constitute into a separate school division. Sec. 2. The salaries of the division superintendent of schools of such city shall be in accordance with Republic Act Numbered Three hundred and twelve and those of the necessary personnel of his office shall be determined and fixed by the City Mayor with the approval of the City Council. The said salaries and the expenses for equipment, supplies, and materials for said office shall be payable from the funds of such city. Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
