REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7673
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7673 - AN ACT TO DECLARE THE SEVENTEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS A NON-WORKING SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR THE PROVINCE OF SIQUIJOR TO BE KNOWN AS SIQUIJOR DAY

Section 1. Republic Act No. 6398 which created Siquijor Island into a province was enacted and signed by then President Ferdinand E. Marcos on September 17, 1971.

Sec. 2. The seventeenth day of September of every year is hereby declared a non-working special public holiday for the Province of Siquijor to be known as Siquijor Day.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.

* Lapsed into law on January 10, 1994 without the President's signature in accordance with Article VI, Sec. 28(1) of the Constitution.
