REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11325, April 17, 2019

AN ACT UPGRADING THE MINDANAO CENTRAL SANITARIUM IN PASOBOLONG, ZAMBOANGA CITY INTO A TERTIARY LEVEL HOSPITAL, INCREASING ITS BED CAPACITY FOR GENERAL CARE SERVICES FROM FIFTY (50) TO TWO HUNDRED (200) BEDS, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Mindanao Central Sanitarium located in Pasobolong, Zamboanga City is hereby upgraded into a tertiary level hospital and its authorized bed capacity for general care services increased from fifty (50") to two hundred (200) beds. The increase in the bed capacity shall be implemented consistent with the development plan of the hospital.

Sec. 2. The existing hospital facilities, professional health care services and human resource are also hereby upgraded and increased to be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity. The Department of Health, in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Mindanao Central Sanitarium, shall determine the additional staff plantilla to be created pursuant to this Act.

Sec. 3. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's programs the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Sec. 4. If any provision or part of this xct is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Sec. 5. All other laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations, or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

Sec. 6. This Act shall take effect fifteen (1.5) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general circulation.

This Act was passed by the Senate of the Philippines as Senate Bill No. 1963 on February 6, 2019 and adopted by the House of Representatives as an amendment to House Bill No. 7062 on February 8. 2019.
