1. OBLIGATIONS AND CONTRACT; PAYMENT; BALLANTYNE SCHEDULE OF VALUES; DOCTRINES REITERATED. — Where a debtor could have paid his obligation at any time during the Japanese occupation, payment of the same after liberation must be adjusted in accordance with the Ballantyne schedule of values.

Petition for a writ of certiorari to review the judgment of the Court of Appeals (C.A. -G. R. No. 15989-R) affirming that of the Court of First Instance of Manila (civil case No. 23691).
