COMMONWEALTH ACT NO. 166 - AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE SURVEY AND SUBDIVISION OF ALL PUBLIC AGRICULTURAL LANDS LYING PARALLEL TO, AND EXTENDING WITHIN THREE KILOMETERS FROM BOTH SIDES OF ANY PUBLIC HIGHWAY |
Section
1. There is hereby appropriated, out of any funds in the Philippines
Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of one hundred pesos which
shall be spent by the Secretary of Agriculture and Commerce, upon the
recommendation of the Director of Lands, for the survey and subdivision
of all public Agricultural lands lying parallel to and at least within
three kilometers from both sides of any new public highway constructed
in the Philippines. The lands so surveyed and subdivided shall be open
for disposition in accordance with the terms, limitations, and
conditions imposed by the Public Land Act to all persons qualified to
acquire public lands under said Act, but at least one-half of such
lands shall be disposed of only by means of homesteads entry. The
expenses of survey and subdivisions shall be apportioned, assessed, and
collected from all applicants, except those for homestead, in addition
to the fees, rentals or other payments collectible under the provisions
of said Act, and shall be paid by the respective applicants in ten
equal annual installments without interest from the date of approval of
their respective applications. Section2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: November 12, 1936 |
