BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 110 - AN ACT CONVERTING THE OPOL HIGH SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF OPOL, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL, INTO A NATIONAL SECONDARY TECHNICAL SCHOOL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Section 1. The present Opol High School in the Municipality of Opol, Province of Misamis Oriental, is hereby converted into a national secondary school, to be known as the Opol National Secondary Technical School, hereinafter referred to in this Act as the School.

Sec. 2. The purpose of the School is to provide quality secondary education in line with the system of educational relevant to the goals for national development.

Sec. 3. The School shall be under the control and supervision of the Ministry of Education and Culture which shall be responsible for the staffing, curricula development and promulgation of rules and regulations on discipline.

Sec. 4. On or before the fifteen day of the second month following the opening of regular classes of each year, the Regional Director, Ministry of Education and Culture, Region X, shall file with the Minister of Education and Culture a detailed report setting forth the progress, conditions and needs of the School.

Sec. 5. All employees of the School shall be covered by the civil service law on eligibility for permanent appointment pursuant to Presidential Decree Numbered Eight hundred seven and its implementing regulations.

Sec. 6. All assets of the Opol High School, whether immovable or movable, records and personnel are hereby transferred to the Opol National Secondary Technical School.

Sec. 7. The amount needed for the operation of the school shall be determined in accordance with Sec. 40 of Presidential Decree No. 1177 and charged to the appropriations authorized by Batas Pambansa Blg. 40 and 80 for the Ministry of Education and Culture intended for new national schools. Thereafter, such sum as may be necessary for its operation and maintenance shall be included in the Annual General Appropriations Act.

Sec. 8. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
