REPUBLIC ACT NO. 748 - AN ACT
PROVIDING FOR THE SHARE OF MUNICIPALITIES IN THE FEES COLLECTED FROM
THE EXTRACTION OR REMOVAL OF STONE, GRAVEL, SAND, EARTH AND OTHER
MATERIALS, FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE LANDS OF THE GOVERNMENT OR FROM THE
BEDS OF SEAS, LAKES, RIVERS, STREAMS, CREEKS AND OTHER PUBLIC WATERS
WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE SAID MUNICIPALITY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES |
Section 1. Any
provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, any municipality
shall be entitled to share, in an amount not less than twenty per
centum, same to be determined by the Provincial Board of the province
concerned, in the fees collected from stone, sand, gravel, earth and
other materials extracted or removed from public and private lands of
the Government or from the beds of seas, lakes, rivers, streams,
creeks, and other public waters, as provided in Act Numbered Three
thousand eight hundred fifty-two, within the territorial jurisdiction
of the said municipality: Provided, That such share of the municipality
concerned shall only be spent for the construction, repair and/or
maintenance of the municipal roads and bridges within the said
municipality. Sec. 2. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. Approved: June 18, 1952 |
