REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6103
REPUBLIC ACT NO. 6103 - AN ACT TO STANDARDIZE THE SALARIES OF OFFICIALS IN THE OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF PUBLIC WORKS AND COMMUNICATIONS

Section 1. Any existing law to the contrary notwithstanding, the salaries of the following positions in the Office of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications are hereby fixed as follows:

(a) Chief Civil Engineer as Chief of the Programming and Budget Services, sixteen thousand eight hundred pesos; Head Executive Assistant, Administrative Officer V as Chief of the Administrative Services, Department Legal Counsel, Department Chief Accountant III, Department Budget Officer III, Supervising Auditor as Chief of the Internal Audit Services, Staff Civil Engineers, Chief Legal Officer, Supply Officer IV, with furnished quarters, and Personnel Officer III, sixteen thousand pesos each per annum;

(b) Chief, Medical Division IV, Records Officer IV as Chief of the Records Division, and Chief, Management Staff, fourteen thousand four hundred pesos per annum; and

(c) Assistant Chiefs of Services, Assistant Chief Legal Officers and Assistant Chiefs of Division, twelve thousand each per annum.

Sec. 2. The amount needed to cover the increase in the salaries for the above positions shall be chargeable against the appropriations for the fiscal year nineteen hundred sixty-seven-nineteen hundred sixty-eight from the Highway Special Fund and the Portworks Special Fund. Notice of salary adjustment as herein provided shall be issued by the Secretary of Public Works and Communications to the officials concerned to implement the new rates of salaries provided herein without the necessity of new appointments. The positions in the Office of the Secretary of Public Works and Communications whose salaries have been fixed herein shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Acts for the ensuing fiscal years.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect on July one, nineteen hundred sixty-seven.
