REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8139

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 8139 - AN ACT ESTABLISHING A NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL IN THE CAPITAL TOWN OF TANDAG, PROVINCE OF SURIGAO DEL SUR, TO BE KNOWN AS THE TANDAG NATIONAL SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.

Section 1. There shall be established a national science high school in the capital town of Tandag, Province of Surigao del Sur, to be known as the Tandag National Science High School. Sec. 2. The school shall be situated within the eight hectare campus of the Surigao del Sur Polytechnic College in Barangay Governor Adella Serra of Tago, Surigao del Sur. Sec. 3. The Secretary of the Department of Education Culture and Sports shall issue such rules and regulations as may be necessary to carry out the purpose of this Act. Sec. 4. The amount necessary to carry out the provisions of this Act shall be included in the General Appropriation Act of the year following its enactment into law and thereafter. Sec. 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval. (Note: Lapsed into law on July 16, 1995, without he signature of the President, in accordance with the Article VI, Section (1) of the Constitution.)
