REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11272 - AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SPECIALTY HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, PROVINCE OF BULACAN, TO BE KNOWN AS AT. BERNADETTE CHILDREN AND MATERNITY HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11272, April 12, 2019

AN ACT ESTABLISHING A SPECIALTY HOSPITAL IN THE CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, PROVINCE OF BULACAN, TO BE KNOWN AS AT. BERNADETTE CHILDREN AND MATERNITY HOSPITAL, AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. There shall be established a specialty hospital, known as St. Bernadette Children and Maternity Hospital, with a minimum capacity of one hundred (100) beds, to be located at Barangay Graceville, City of San Jose Del Monte, Province of Bulacan. The St. Bernadette Children and Maternity Hospital shall be under the administrative and technical supervision of San Jose Del Monte City, Province of Bulacan.

Sec. 2. The City Government of San Jose Del Monte in the Province of Bulacan shall provide funding for the establishment, operation and maintenance of the St. Bernadette Children and Maternity Hospital.

Sec. 3. The Secretary of Health shall include in the Department's program the subsidy support for the capital outlay requirements for the establishment of the said specialty hospital, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Sec. 4. If any provisions or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Sec. 5. All other laws, decrees, orders, issuances, rules and regulations, or parts thereof which are inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

Sec. 6. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in any newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representative on August 29, 2018, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on February 4, 2019, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on February 7, 2019.
