REPUBLIC ACT NO. 11273, April 12, 2019

AN ACT INCREASING THE BED CAPACITY FOR GENERAL HOSPITAL SERVICES OF THE EVERSLEY CHILDS SANITARIUM HOSPITAL IN MANDAUE CITY, PROVINCE OF CEBU, FROM FIFTY (50) BEDS TO WTO HUNDRED (200) BEDS, RENAMING THE HOSPITAL AS THE EVERSLEY CHILDS SANITARIUM AND GENERAL HOSPITAL AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled:

Section 1. The Eversley Childs Sanitarium Hospital in Mandaue City, Province of Cebu, is hereby upgraded into a general hospital to be known as the Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital.

Sec. 2. The existing service facilities and professional health care services of the Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital are hereby upgraded, commensurate to the reapportion of its authorized bed capacity as provided in Section 1 of this Act.

The existing workforce of the Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital shall be increased correspondingly. The Department of Health (DOH) shall, in coordination with the Department of Budget and Management and the Civil Service Commission, and after consultation with the Eversley Childs Sanitarium and General Hospital, determine the additional plantilla position to be created and filled up.

Sec. 3. The Secretary of Health shall immediately include in the Department's program the implementation of this Act, the funding of which shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act.

Sec. 4. If any provision or part of this Act is declared unconstitutional, the remaining parts or provisions not affected shall remain in full force and effect.

Sec. 5. All laws, decrees, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act shall be deemed amended or repealed accordingly.

Sec. 6. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation.

This Act which originated in the House of Representatives was passed by the House of Representative on November 12, 2018, amended by the Senate of the Philippines on February 6, 2019, and which amendments were concurred in by the House of Representatives on February 7, 2019.
